The 5th July saw Parafix supporting STEM and the National Science and Engineering competition at the Big Bang South East Science Fair. R&D Engineering Manager Julian Bond was supporting the event as one of the Judges for the competition. It was fantastic to see such a wide range of children, of all ages working on so many different projects. Projects ranged from studies for a Black Box recorder for future Mars Lander missions to Renewable Energies and Robotic automation.
The Big Bang Shows are annual, regional Science fairs designed to encourage and support the next generation of Scientists, Technologists and Engineers. The shows also host the regional heats of the National Science and Engineering Competition. Winners from these heats go through to the National finals in London in March 2013, where “Young Scientist of the Year” and “Young Engineer of the Year” will be decided.
