As part of Parafix’s commitment to supporting the local community, we have been building links with The Sir Robert Woodard Academy, which is local to our UK Head Office and Manufacturing site in Lancing, West Sussex.
We are very pleased to now sponsor the Parafix Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurship at the Academy. The award is given as part of an annual ceremony that recognises students for their hard work. The Parafix award will be given to the student that has demonstrated initiative, creativity, self-discipline, motivation and commitment.
The Academy holds an annual celebration evening, where awards are given to students in years 10-13. At the 2013 event, the guest of honour for the evening and presenting the prizes was Alison Lapper MBE, an internationally renowned local artist.
The 2013 winner of the Parafix award was Stewart Matthews who is pictured above at the celebration evening with Dave Moore, R&D Adviser at Parafix.
The trophy will be retained by the Academy and will be displayed in the main entrance. The name of the winner of the trophy will be engraved each year.
