Parafix is delighted to announce the arrival of its latest investment, in the form of a Delta Mod-Tech web converter. The new machine is a significant leap forward in the company’s ability to provide a wider range of services to the healthcare and electronics markets that require ultimate accuracy and consistent quality and Parafix is especially keen to demonstrate the new range of capabilities the machine will provide in the wound care sector.
The new equipment brings a wealth of enhancements to Parafix’s capabilities. Firstly, in terms of economical high volume production, the Delta Mod-Tech offers speeds over three times faster than the machine it replaces. Combined with a bed width that is nearly twice the width of Parafix’s current equipment, this means that customers requiring large order provision alongside the highest quality production techniques can turn to Parafix with the fullest confidence.
All of the Mod-Tech’s feeds, unwinds and tooling stations are servo-controlled and utilise sensors and vision for enhanced accuracy, whilst the island placement module enables enhanced wound care product manufacture.
Furthermore, the machines modular platform facilitates a raft of further enhancements to be introduced as required, from ‘on the fly’ laser converting and in-line packaging to heat sealing and printing.
Commenting on the new arrival, Parafix healthcare specialist Paul Barwick said “The extra capability that our new Delta Mod-Tech converter brings us allows us to continue to develop our strong offer for our healthcare customers even further. We can now offer those seeking larger quantity orders a premium quality service with a fantastic combination of speed, quality and flexibility.”
