About heat activated film
Heat activated films are nitrile phenolic based thermoplastics with a similar bond strength to that of a VHB tape. When heat and pressure are applied, the film is activated and will bond to substrates not normally suited to pressure sensitive adhesive tapes. Films will bond with ease to metals, plastics, textiles, foams and wood.
Heat activated film is available with different adhesives on either side, for the bonding of different substrates e.g. metal to plastic. We have an extensive range of film products from World leading manufacturers. Click on the products tab for more information.
Our heat activated adhesive film characteristics:
- Good age resistance
- Good shock resistance
- Flexible
- Range of thicknesses
- Heat or solvent activation
- High bonding strength
- Good chemical resistance
- High temperature stability
- Remain flexible and elastic
- Plasticiser resistance
- Differential options available
- Electrically conductive options available
Our applications include:
- Battery door attachment
- Bezel bonding
- Case assembly
- Flex bonding
- Logo bonding
- Memory card bonding
- Bonding parts of consumer electronics
- Low surface energy bonding
- Any application requiring metal to plastic bonding
