About board level shields
Laird technologies board level shields are designed to maximise the performance of your devices; providing isolation of board level components. Their standard design shields are available in one or two-piece designs, with a bridge frame and cover, removable by automation included in the two-piece range.
One-piece board level shields offer economical board level shielding where access to covered components is not necessary. Two-piece board level shields offer users the flexibility to inspect or repair shielded components without the risk of board damage by removing the entire shield. Their covers snap on and off with ease, making access to parts under the shield quicker and easier, removing the potential for board re-work.
Board level shield characteristics:
- Two-piece shields available assembled or unassembled
- Fully solderable
- Custom shapes available
- Locking feature for corner joint stability
- Designed to survive drop, shock and no-rattle tests
- Available in tape-and-reel for automated pick and place applications
- No tooling costs with one or two-piece standard designs
