Lunch was enjoyed on the terrace as batteries were recharged and the main competition commenced, nearly 40 players went into battle, some faring better than others, but as ever we were only interested in the winners.
No count back this year, an outright winner, in the name of Roger Saxby, who not only won the cup, the invitation to play at Wentworth, but the MPHFGS hip flask for the second consecutive year,
The meal and prize giving followed with some notable gift being awarded, but more importantly the raffle for the local nominated charity raised an amazing £1,000.
