3M™ MicroChannel liners incorporate air release technology, with a cross hatch pattern, creating a continuous and permanent network of micro-channels in the adhesive. This allows air to escape from between the adhesive surface and the substrate.
3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tapes 467MC and 468MC [MicroChannel PCK Paper Liner] and 467MCF and 468MCF [MicroChannel PET Film Liner] feature this unique liner technology which imprints a MicroChannel into the adhesive surface.
Applications include lamination of graphics or bonding overlays. The air release technology takes trapped air out of large surface applications easily, without unsightly wrinkles for a smooth finish.
As well as benefiting from a smooth, wrinkle free appearance, this technology removes the risk of adhesion loss and reduces costly scrap and re-work that can slow down the manufacturing process.
Combined with Parafix’s capability, these products can be supplied in slit rolls, sheets or die-cut form.
