Two more Parafix employees passed the 25 year service mark this month. Steve Wattam and Niyaz Butt were mere boys when they started within ten days of each other! Over the years they have both seen many changes as Parafix has grown and diversified.
Niyaz is now recognised as one of our most able machine operators and his experience is invaluable when setting and running the most complicated jobs.
Steve has fulfilled a number of roles at Parafix, ranging from stores to customer services. He is now a member of our estimating team, using his knowledge to assist customers with the design and costing of new projects.
Their efforts were recognised in an informal presentation with Parafix Directors and Neil and Steve’s Managers, where they both received a gift from Parafix for their valued contribution to the company.
Niyaz said of his time at Parafix: “My work here is interesting and I enjoy the challenges and solving the problems that we face. We have a good team working spirit and I enjoy generating new ideas together and seeing these implemented. Parafix are a good company to work for and look after us; we get good benefits, especially the pension which is really generous. Managers are very reasonable and understanding when you face difficulties, both in our work and personal lives and this is really appreciated.”
