3M, manufacturer of high performance adhesive materials, has introduced two new products to their portfolio of high performance, low VOC tapes. These new tapes fulfil the growing need for products that meet global standards and increasing Government regulations for air quality in passenger vehicles.
These highly engineered tapes have been designed for automotive interior bonding and to meet VDA 278 and JAMA automotive standards. They will bond to a variety of substrates including LSE and HSE plastics, foam (PU, PE and EPDM), felt, fabric, flock, TPO and santoprene.
The two additions consist of 98010LVC scrim reinforced transfer tape and 99015LVC double sided tissue tape; both offering a thin attachment solution for virtually any automotive interior application. This might include headliner components, seat heaters and sensors, nameplates and emblems, instrument and door panels, electrical components and acoustic attachment.
These products offer all of the benefits of a double sided tape, as well as enhanced global design flexibility and end user experience through improved vehicle air quality.
Parafix has worked with design and development engineers from AOEMs and tiered suppliers on a wide range of applications in the automotive market. Our experience, TS 19649 compliance, ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14644-1 clean room make us perfectly placed to supply your high quality, low VOC components.
More information and data sheets can be found on the 98010LVC and the 99015LVC product pages, or get in touch to discuss your application needs.
