The Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup Final will be played on Wednesday 3rd May 2017 at the American Express Community Stadium. Kick-off is at 7:45pm.
It will be the second time the Sussex County FA showpiece final has been staged in the evening at the Amex, and the first time in the competitions illustrious history that it has been held on a Wednesday.
Brighton & Hove Albion, winners back in 2013, have reached this year’s final after victories over Hailsham Town, Pagham, Crowborough Athletic and current holders Eastbourne Borough.
Crawley Town, who last won the cup back in 2005, saw off Langney Wanderers, Horsham YMCA, Whitehawk and Bognor Regis Town to seal their place in this season’s premier county cup competition.
Ken Benham, Chief Executive of the Sussex County FA said: “We’re delighted to once again be holding the final of the Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup at the fantastic Amex stadium.
“Last season we held the final there on a Friday night for the first time and the atmosphere was brilliant. A cup final under the lights at the Amex is a special occasion and we hope to encapsulate that unique feel mid-week evening games often have.
“A Wednesday night is something new for the final itself, but fixtures throughout the competition have been played mid-week so it’s not altogether new for the clubs or the fans.
“Our thanks, once again, go to Brighton & Hove Albion for allowing us the use of their stadium.”
Ticket information for the Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup Final will be announced in due course.
