For non-standard roll widths at tighter tolerances
In our drive to continually improve quality and capabilities, we have invested in a new servo-driven lathe slitting machine, which offers more power, enhanced accuracy and enhanced safety features.
Lathe slitting is the process of taking a large log roll of material and cutting it down to pre-determined roll widths. Slitting the log roll into more manageable sizes is the first stage in preparing adhesive material for converting processes and is a valuable service for customers requiring non-standard roll widths.
Our new slitter offers finished roll tolerances of up to +/- 0.15mm, depending on the material. It has a direct drive and sturdier blade which offers more power and the ability to slit heavier and denser materials. It also has an inter-changeable mandrel, meaning we can slit materials supplied on six inch I/D cores.
Additional enhancements include better lubricant control, safety features and bigger memory for pre-storing programs, meaning set-up is faster.
