As we get ready to welcome a new batch of Apprentices to Parafix, I look back at my experience as an Engineering Apprentice 8 years ago. I chronicled my progress back when I first started in 2014 after my A-Levels. The blog covered my time across various departments and events I attended.
Since then, I have furthered my education gaining NVQ Level 3, Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering.
Working as Project Engineer, I am now an integral part of Parafix’s Production. I work on a variety of interesting projects, including the purchase of new machinery, introduction of new processes and improvements of existing ones.
My apprenticeship was thoroughly enjoyable. I prefer learning practically and Parafix was the ideal place for me to grow and develop my career.
I look forward to seeing the new generation of Apprentices learn and share my enthusiasm for engineering and practical learning with them. Who knows, maybe one of them decides to keep a blog.
