We are delighted to announce a new Clean Room facility at our Sussex premises! In addition to our existing Clean Room, we have now installed a separate Clean Room providing a further 116m2 capacity. Both the new and the old Clean Rooms are classified to ISO 14644-1, Class 7, or Class 10000 based on the old FED STD 209E classification.
The addition of a new Clean Room will permit Parafix to further assist our clients with their need for adhesives produced in a controlled environment. Having two physically separate Clean Rooms will allow for different procedures to be followed during the manufacturing process simultaneously. This in turn will shorten the production time, as jobs with different requirements could be executed at the same time, all while maintaining superb standards and adhering to strict production procedures.
Various industries have a need for adhesives manufactured in Clean Room facilities, including healthcare, electronics and automotive. Our Clean Rooms can also process Optically Clear Adhesives (OCA) and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Parafix’s General Manager, Steve Barwick, said of the new Clean Room: “Parafix is mindful of our customers’ growing needs and we are thrilled to be able to increase our capacity in order to better serve these industries. In addition, we are very proud of the additional 15 jobs the expansion will create in our community.”
