As one of Europe’s leading converters, Parafix is always looking for ways to improve, innovate and modernise. The latest phase of our continuous improvement saw a Rotary Laser machine join our arsenal.
This magnificent machine brings together different conversion methods, including laminating, rotary die cutting and laser cutting. The stations are driven by separate servomotors which communicate with each other so they can adjust automatically. The machine includes a unique interactive CCD machine vision system with 6 integrated cameras for 100% inspection and automatic correction of any deviations, all while providing live data.
The Rotary Laser has extraordinary precision, with the ability to make intricate, multi-material components with very tight tolerances of only ±0.1mm (depending on the material). This will be particularly helpful in projects involving the production of various parts for the diagnostics, electronics, industrial and automotive industries.
“Parafix is very pleased to welcome our latest addition. As we celebrated our 50th anniversary - our half-century, we looked back on our achievements, but we remain focused on building our future successes,” commented Steve Barwick, Parafix’s General Manager. “This advanced machine keeps Parafix at the forefront of converting capability and allows our customers yet more design flexibility, and enhanced quality for the more challenging projects they need.”
