Parafix is proud to announce 3M Medical Materials & Technologies (MedTech) has appointed us as a medical Preferred Converter. This is separate from, and in addition to, our long-standing 3M Preferred Converter status, which we have held with 3M Industrial Adhesive and Tapes Division (IATD) since 1995.
Together with 3M MedTech, Parafix has been providing solutions to our customers’ medical adhesive challenges for many years. During that time Parafix has invested heavily in our ability to process 3M medical materials. That investment includes installing 2 separate Clean Rooms, developing the skills of our people and quality systems, as well as developing specialist equipment.
By appointing Parafix as a medical Preferred Converter, 3M MedTech recognised the technical ability of Parafix and our knowledge of 3M medical materials and technologies. 3M MedTech has shown their confidence in Parafix to provide their expected level of quality, skill and integrity when handling their products. Now, together with 3M, we are uniquely placed to resolve any medical converting challenge, be they in wound care, medical diagnostic devices, or wearable devices.
Parafix’s General Manager, Steve Barwick, commented: “Parafix is pleased our close working relationship with 3M has been recognised through our appointment as a Preferred Converter for another 3M division. We are exceptionally well placed to provide our customers with the quality medical solutions they expect from us.”
3M MedTech’s Global Converter Channel Manager, Matt Berdahl, commented: “We are excited to add Parafix to our network of medical Preferred Converters. Medical Preferred Converters are a key part of our business model as we work to supply medical device companies with component materials that are transformed by our network of uniquely qualified medical Preferred Converters. Parafix has demonstrated their investment and capability to serve medical device markets that require biocompatible medical tapes and adhesives.”
3M Medical materials are available as rolls, sheets, or die-cut to fit your custom design. Parafix holds ISO 13486:2016 accreditation for manufacturing medical devices.
