Parafix turns 50!

Parafix Ltd was founded by John Shipley in Sussex in August of 1969. It wasn't long until we became a 3M Authorised Distributor, and then a Preferred Converter. Partnerships followed with other world-leading suppliers, such as Rogers, Porex, and Pregis, amongst many others.

In 2001, Parafix expanded internationally. Parafix Hungária Kft. manufacturing plant in Budapest now employs over 100 people with a new factory in Ercsi set to open shortly. As a part of our 50^th birthday celebration, Hungarian colleagues will be visiting Parafix headquarters in Sussex throughout the summer, strengthening the bond between the two sister companies and facilitating knowledge transfer.

During our 50 years, we focused on leading the advances in adhesive tape technology and solving bonding issues, large and small alike. We bonded bumpers on sports cars and developed components for a lab-on-a-chip biosensor. You can read the details of our journey here.

If you have ever stepped foot in our Sussex headquarters, you would have noticed a variety of sports memorabilia we proudly display on our walls. Signed cricket bats and balls, rugby jerseys and football shirts are displayed with pride.
