3M™ 9703 electrically conductive adhesive transfer tape is a product with anisotropic electrical conductivity. The adhesive matrix is filled with conductive particles which allow interconnection between substrates through the adhesive thickness (the “Z-axis”) but are spaced far enough apart for the product to be electrically insulating in the plane of the adhesive. The adhesive tack properties and lack of any thermal curing make this tape easy to use in assembly operations.
9703 offers good adhesion to common PCB substrates such as copper, gold, FR-4 epoxy, Kapton™ polyimide and polyester films. It is commonly used for attaching EMI/RFI shielding materials and electrical components.
9703 tape is available in non-standard slit rolls, sheets and custom shapes. For more information, please contact us.
