Parafix Tapes and Conversions is delighted to announce that the Sussex County Ladies Golf Team, of which Parafix is a proud sponsor, came fourth in the County National Finals at Kedleston Park Golf Club In Derbyshire. Hertfordshire were the final winners over five continuous days of playing 36 holes every day.
Every member of the team has a handicap of three and under. Stacey Rodger from West Hove is planning to try and qualify in December to go on the Ladies European Tour. Karen Sykes from Worthing has played in English Home Internationals and successfully won the Under 23 British Stroke player award. When Katherine Russell from Royal Ashdown Forest isn’t playing golf, she works as a physiotherapist.
Chloe Court from Bognor has been playing golf from a young age and was a Junior English International. Chelsea Masters from Highwoods has recently managed to break the course record at Highwoods. Emma Carberry, also from Highwoods, is studying sport science at Bristol University. Paula Carver from Worthing works full time and is still able to maintain a handicap of three.
Last but by no means least is Aileen Greenfield from Pyecombe, who plays off scratch, is the County Champion this year and holds course records at Pyecombe; Royal Eastbourne, ESN and Haywards Heath to name a few.
The team played extremely well against counties that have some of the best golfers in the country and came up against English Internationals and Curtis Cup players. We look forward to watching the Ladies in their next competition and hopefully climb up the ladder.
