At our Head Office site in the UK we have been busy expanding our manufacturing capabilities.
Due to the growth in our healthcare business, we have made a large investment in a new rotary die cutter and expanded our class 7 clean room facilities to house it. The new equipment has extended our ability to manufacture complex multilayer products in an efficient and cost effective way, and enables us to achieve better tolerance parts consistently.
In addition, we have purchased an upgraded flat-bed die cutter, not only enabling us to remove two of our existing machines, but giving us the ability to provide customers with larger parts in roll, sheet or single piece format. The die-cutter is capable of performing with greater flexibility and accuracy in terms of setting and usability. As a result cost efficiencies can be achieved from reduced waste and improved manufacturing lead times, as well as opportunities for the reengineering of processes; offering more cost effective manufacturing.
The result of investment in our capability has led to the redesign of our factory layout; the outcome is an efficient flow of materials and goods and increased capacity, as well as cost savings by driving out waste and improving manufacturing lead times.
Through upgrading our capabilities and improving our internal efficiencies we aim to offer our customers improved quality, greater versatility and cost effective manufacturing.
