This month another Parafix employee passed the 25 year service mark. Graham Tweed started at Parafix when he was 25 years old, not expecting to be here 25 years later or to have fallen in love with and married a colleague that he met on his first day!
Graham has fulfilled a number of roles at Parafix ranging from Machine Operator, Section Supervisor, Estimating Management and Production Planning and Management.
Graham’s efforts were recognised in an informal presentation with Parafix Directors Michael Punter and Colin Wills where he received a gift from Parafix for his valued contribution to the company. On Graham’s request, the gift was a donation to Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.
Graham said of his time at the company: “I’ve been with Parafix through both good and difficult periods but can honestly say all have been enjoyable and rewarding in their own way, whether it’s been learning new skills required in tougher times or meeting new people in busy times.”
He added: “Throughout my entire time here the company has always felt constant despite almost continual change and growth, for example, our two storey extension, acquisitions and our successful venture into Hungary. Despite all this activity, excitement and challenge, Parafix genuinely has always had, and still has, a real family feel about it. I’ve enjoyed every bit and hope for a lot more to come.”
Parafix has a history of very low staff turnover and see this as a strength in the adhesive tape converting industry, due to the technical expertise required. This loyalty and dedication from employees has helped Parafix achieve many successes during our 40+ years.
