Today, Managing Director Mike Punter, along with Health and Safety Practitioner Dave Moore, presented Health and Safety certificates to five members of staff who successfully completed an Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) ‘Managing Safely’ course.
The nationally recognised training covers major Health and Safety issues such as assessing and controlling risk, identifying hazards, understanding responsibilities and measuring performance.
The five recipients received the training to assist in their supervisory roles, to ensure they are equipped with the right level of knowledge and practical experience needed to manage key Health and Safety issues within their teams.
As a result of these additionally qualified personnel, we are ensuring that our high standards of Health and Safety go further into the organisation.
Mike commented: “The health and safety of our employees is paramount; I’m delighted to see more of our employees receiving Health and Safety training.
“Not only does this maintain high levels of safety in our workplaces, but it enables continuity of manufacturing and supply to our valued customer base.”
