In the quest for faster turnaround and better processes we have invested in a 3D printer capable of printing ABS, PLA and other plastics. The purpose of acquiring this technology is to enable us to print highly specialised components to help improve the way we process some of our production runs.
In its first few weeks this technology has enabled us to assemble customised tooling jigs, blade mounts and vacuum boxes for the assistance of hole removal.
Our 3D printer utilises a heated bed and a hot melt extruder to create unusual geometries enabling us to produce finishing and production aids in a matter of hours rather than weeks.
