At our UK site, our CAD driven X/Y axis plotter, used for small batch runs and rapid prototyping, has been upgraded for faster and better quality prototyped parts.
We are now able to cut material up to a depth of 30mm (depending on the softness of the material), meaning we can use the equipment for a wider range of products.
The quality of the cut has been enhanced due to the plotter’s oscillating blade which saws the material, instead of dragging through it. This is another advantage for the cutting of thicker materials.
Other benefits include a much faster cutting speed (1000mm/s) and enhanced software tools which aid production, such as camera recognition. The recognition software enables us to cut around print using location features.
If you’re working on a project which requires testing or demonstration of working parts, speak to us today about rapid prototyping without the need for tooling or commitment to a full batch run.
