Inhibiting growth and spread of viruses, bacteria and other microbes has always been an important aspect of wound care, and with the global pandemic, it has become relevant in any settings which involve shared surfaces.
Parafix’s long standing supplier Rogers has developed DermaBak wound care material which discourages collection of harmful bacteria by design:
Conformable and breathable, DermaBak can remain in contact with skin up to 29 days.
Aside from wound care, antimicrobial qualities are now needed for frequently touched surfaces like touch screens and shared tablets to reduce the risk of person-to-person infection transmission. Parafix has recently added Hi-Bond’s Clear Diamond antimicrobial screen protection films to our offering. These films use nano-silver to kill a wide range of bacterium and pathogens. Additionally, Clear Diamond films are transparent, anti-glare and anti-scratch, and come backed with a silicone adhesive for clean removal. Also available with hard coat.
Both of these materials are available in sheets, rolls, or die-cut to fit your custom design. Those interested in wound care will appreciate our ISO class 7 clean room, ISO 13486:2016 accreditation for manufacturing medical devices and state-of-the-art machines.
