3M™ 5516 is a thermally conductive silicone interface pad that is highly conformable, soft and slightly tacky. This silicone elastomer pad is designed to provide heat transfer path between heat generating components and heat sinks, heat spreaders or other cooling devices. It has good thermal conductivity and its softness results in low stress on board components.

5516 has good dielectric properties and wettability for better thermal conductivity. It offers high temperature resistance and has a slight tack for pre-assembly. Common applications include thermal management of batteries, LED lighting and thermal interface damping/cushioning.
