3M 40 tape is a polyester antistatic insulating tape coated on one side with an acrylic adhesive. It generates less than 50 volts on unwind and removal from stainless steel and helps prevent ESD damage to sensitive electronic components in manufacturing environments. Triboelectric charge may vary with your application and environment.
Electrically insulating 3M 40 tape is available printed and unprinted, in non-standard slit rolls, sheets and custom shapes.
